READY TO IMPROVE?
Your golfing journey awaits, where excellence is not just a goal but a thrilling and achievable reality. Let’s swing into success together!
In golf, I have a simplistic yet logical approach to teaching. I advocate a straightforward philosophy that is as follows — the golf swing is a sequence of movements, you have to use the right parts of the body at the right time! After Mastering the art of great sequence, another key word coming into play… synchronization – the two most important S’s in golf, sequence and synchronization these combined lay the foundation for a technically sound action, ensuring an enjoyable and rewarding golfing experience.
A Passion For Golf Excellence
Awkward lies
A very important part of the game to address, as there are very few instances where the ball is actually flat on a golf course. The driving range gives us a false sense of reality at times with a ball continually on a flat lie and sitting on the grass perfectly. I think it’s extremely important to take client through how we prepare for the 4 lies we are generally presented with on a golf course.
•Ball above feet
•Ball below feet
•Ball up hill lie
•Ball down hill lie
Or we can find ourselves in a combination of 2 of these lies at the same too, I.e ball below feet and a down hill lie. A very challenging scenario.
Set-up is one of the most fundamental parts of the game and how we prepare for different lies has a profound impact on the outcome of your shot, regardless of, if it’s a flat lie or not.

Mastering the Short Game
Pitching, chipping, and conquering bunkers become a thrilling endeavour with me. Together, we explore creative ways to navigate various shots, with an emphasis on expanding your landing spot. Understanding the pivotal role of club selection and perfecting your setup are fundamental to your short game success.
Putting, often overlooked, is a cornerstone of the game. I revel in demystifying the intricacies of measuring pace and break, making putting an engaging and calculated aspect of your play. This can be achieved through many different drills that are both challenging and engaging.
At Stonelees, our exceptional putting green is meticulously designed to cater to every conceivable situation you might encounter on the course.
Playing Lessons
Playing lessons are essential in my mind and one of the most important ways I monitor people’s progress. Generally we will intend to swing the club very differently on the driving range than on the course and there is so much discuss and outline when we’re out there, from ;
•Pre-shot routine
•Breathing/monitoring tension
•Course strategy
•Hitting out of rough
•Shot shaping
•Club selection
•Gathering yardage
•Controlling trajectory
Just to name a few. I ensure my clients get to a stage where their swing on the golf course is as good as their driving range swing. You’ll generally find your swing is better on the driving range as there is no consequence in that environment, so people intend to move more freely and with less tension. On the course there is always the tenancy to get up tight and try too hard as there is now a consequence to your actions. In golf you must be “out of control to be in control”
I always feel there are two stages to learning golf, first I teach you how to swing a club, then I teach you how to play golf. Working in this manor, I feel I can get people to a stage where their performances have far more chance of being on a parallel with one another, when transitioning from range to course.
